Several have mentioned the recommended reading book lists that I sent out in December. It is always encouraging to hear that someone is pulling some good reads off of those lists. I love book lists. It is always intriguing to see what others have enjoyed and why. Here is a list from Martin Cothran of Memoria Press of what he considers Ten Great Christian Books. All of these are fantastic, thought-provoking reads. It is noteworthy that he calls these books -books from generally secular publishers, most of which you likely won’t find at the local Christian bookstore — “Great Christian Books.” This is testimony that many of the old classics were profoundly biblical in outlook even if they were not specifically written to be religious works. It is also testimony to the fact that biblical themes and intensely God-oriented stories can be found in unexpected places. Enjoy reading!
