I trust that you are enjoying a restful and refreshing spring break. This week of rest from the routines of school is much deserved by our students and teachers. They have been working extremely hard. The week-in-and-week-out faithfulness of the teachers and learners at Veritas is so encouraging. The past month has been a season of reaping some of the fruits of their diligent labors. For this fruit we are grateful to the Lord and humbled by His kindness.
Three recent accomplishments are worthy of special note.
1) On February 27 and 28 an accreditation team from the Association of Classical Christian Schools visited Veritas for our two-year accreditation renewal. While here each of the three team members visited every classroom and every course. They looked through our finances, records, processes, policies, procedures -you name it, they looked at it. They left here with high commendations of our vision for education, our students, our teachers, and our school culture. We praise God for His favor. We retain our ACCS accreditation until their next visit in 2024! Woohoo!
2) On March 4 a group of Veritas Rhetoric School students competed in the GICAA Spring Literary State Competitions in Albany, Georgia. The students competed against students from many other schools across the state (most of which were considerably larger than Veritas) in singing, piano, essay writing, speech, spelling, and recitations. These students and Mrs. Liebing, their coach, came away with our very first STATE championship in any activity or sport. Congratulations students! Again, we praise God for His favor.
3) And then on March 9, our archers went to their GICAA state competition. The Veritas Archery High School team with coaches Daniell and Espinosa came away with third place in the state of Georgia! Again, congratulations students. And again, we praise God for His favor on Veritas Academy.
So, we thank God for His kindness to us. We praise Him for sending us such wonderful families, teachers, and students.
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 118:29
