Christmas is a time for giving gifts. I’ve read two articles recently that reminded me of the greatest gifts parents can give to their children. These are gifts that will last them a lifetime, long after we, their parents, are gone. One gift is the gift of “I’m sorry, please forgive me” and the other is the gift of “I love you just because you’re mine.” Confessing your sin and seeking forgiveness from your children and loving them every day simply because they are yours (not because they measure up in some way) are gifts that will far outlast any toy, device, or outfit under the tree this year. Happy giving!
